Role Synopsis
- It is essential that we maximize the value of a plant or a process. Our Instrument, Control & Electrical Engineers use sophisticated instrumentation and related technologies to measure and optimize process conditions. Join us and you will be involved in everything from field-located instrumentation to the control and safety systems through to high-level process information management systems. This could include involvement in plant and field operations, in making modifications to enhance the reliability and responsiveness of our control schemes, in the design and installation of projects or in specialist technology support.

Materials & Corrosion Engineer - 2013 Indonesia Challenge Program - Jakarta
Role Synopsis
- All of BP’s oil and gas production passes through steel equipment as it travels from the underground reservoir to our customers. Our materials and corrosion engineers ensure our oil and gas remains safely inside the equipment, which has a major impact on the safety of our people, the environment and our profitability.
- As a graduate in materials and corrosion engineering, you will ultimately work towards the long-term integrity and reliability of all our assets. While receiving focussed training, you’ll be given challenging projects to work on which represent current problems facing our industry.

Mechanical Engineer - 2013 Indonesia Challenge Program - Jakarta
Role Synopsis
- Mechanical engineering is vital to BP. We ensure safe and reliable plant operation, over the life of an asset in a cost effective manner. Preventing hydrocarbon releases, maximising equipment uptime and ensuring quality projects are delivered to schedule and budget.
- Mechanical engineers support operations and projects around the world. They work in project teams with major contractors, ensuring the correct selection, specification and construction of mechanical equipment and systems, as part of building new facilities or modifying existing assets; or they work in asset teams within operations to develop and implement maintenance programmes, monitoring equipment performance and investigating operational difficulties.

Petroleum/Reservoir Engineer - 2013 Indonesia Challenge Program - Jakarta
Role Synopsis
- BP has identified more new reserves of oil and gas per year than have been produced, so we’re now keen to push technological boundaries to balance the excellent discovery track record with improved hydrocarbon recovery. The Petroleum/Reservoir Engineer Challenger will be essential to ensure we do just that.
- The Challenger will focus on understanding the state of hydrocarbon fluids in the rock and how they can be economically recovered through well placement and improved recovery techniques.

Process/Process Safety Engineer – 2013 Indonesia Challenge Program - Jakarta
Role Synopsis
- Our Process Engineers play a vital role at all stages of our world-class projects and operations. They help set the strategy and their expertise informs the key technical decisions that contribute to the success of projects and operations. The Challenger will be able to enjoy a variety of career paths. You could lead the discipline study purely at the conceptual stage, apply emerging technologies, or become a key member of our production teams.

Procurement Supply Chain Management - 2013 Indonesia Challenge Program - Jakarta
Role Synopsis
- Procurement and Supply Chain Management (PSCM) is the process of procurement goods and services from the external marketplace with the aim of maximizing value to the business.
- PSCM ensures that we always have the right product, from the right supplier, at the right time and at the right price. Jpining the team as Challenger you are given opportunity to play direct important role in the success of supporting business.

Essential Education
- At minimum Bachelor Degree in engineering. Only graduates from engineering majors will be processed further.
Desirable Criteria & General Qualifications
- These positions is intended for fresh graduates, candidates with less than 3 years experience is still eligible to apply.
- The candidate is expected to have:
- Outstanding academic achievement provided with GPA records minimum 3,0
- Strong leadership experience in organization activity
- Strong analytical skill with problem solving attitude
- Excellent communication skill in Bahasa Indonesia and English both oral and written
- Good understanding of the importance of safety in operation (Civil, Electrical, Material, Process, Mechanical, Health and Safety)
- Strong understanding of environmental engineering subject (Enviroment)
- Strong relevant technical skills (Geoscience)
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels and across different disciplines (Instrument & Control)
- Strong understanding of instrument & control engineering subject (Instrument & Control)
- Strong understanding of petroleum or physics engineering subject (Petroleum/Reservoir)
- Strong technical knowledge of relevant subject (Procurement Supply Chain Management)
